Antique and collectible packing for pieces with history attached

Antiques and collectibles can combine age, fragile repairs, irregular shapes and surfaces that cannot simply be wrapped like a new retail product. We inspect the actual piece before choosing the packing approach.

  • Heirlooms
  • Collectible glassware

  • Memorabilia
  • Small antique furniture
  • Auction purchases

The process

A packing plan before the tape comes out

01

Inspect condition and weak points

We look for loose joints, repairs, delicate finishes, glass, protrusions and any existing damage that affects handling.

02

Separate surface and impact protection

The packing plan protects sensitive finishes first, then adds cushioning and movement control around the protected item.

03

Choose the right carton system

Depending on size and fragility, the job may use a fitted carton, double-boxing or another custom corrugated approach.

1

Old objects rarely behave like new products

Age, prior repairs and delicate materials can create weak points that are not obvious from dimensions alone. That is why condition and construction matter before materials are selected.

2

Auction and estate purchases are welcome

If you purchased a manageable-size item locally and need it packed for shipment, send the dimensions, photos, pickup circumstances and destination before arranging the job.

3

Some pieces belong with a crating specialist

Large furniture, museum-grade pieces, climate-sensitive items or work that requires fabricated wood crating may need a specialist provider. We identify those limits before accepting the project.

Quote the real job

Send the quantity, rough dimensions, value and deadline.

For unusual or valuable items, we may ask for photos or an in-person inspection before finalizing the packing plan.

Questions

Before you bring the project in

Can you pack an antique bought at auction?+

Yes, for items within our packing scope. Send photos, approximate dimensions, destination and any pickup requirements so the job can be reviewed before you commit.

Can you pack glass and china?+

Yes, subject to inspection. Fragile pieces are individually protected, separated from one another and packed to limit movement.

Do you build wooden crates?+

Our core service is custom corrugated packing and parcel-ready protection. Jobs requiring fabricated wood crates or museum logistics should go to a specialist crating provider.
