Test the fit before closing
The item should be supported and restrained without crushing the cushioning or leaving large unsupported voids.

Sometimes the best solution is simply a resized or telescoped corrugated carton with the right internal protection. The goal is a strong, efficient shipping package, not unnecessary materials.

Before you bring it in
- Measure the widest, tallest and deepest points, including protrusions.
- Tell us the approximate weight and any pressure-sensitive surfaces.
- Bring existing boxes or fitted inserts for assessment.
- For repeated packages, include quantity, contents and the intended handoff.
Fit includes the protection around the item
The item dimensions are the starting point. The carton also needs to accommodate the protection selected for the actual weight, shape and journey.
Custom sizing and double-boxing solve different problems
A fitted corrugated carton addresses shape and clearance. Double-boxing adds a protected inner package inside an outer carton. Some jobs benefit from both; the item determines the choice.
